None yet. Want some nice boots and a coat. Have seen some nice flat boots in Boden catalogue.

clothes to wear at work as I'm going back after 7 years (gulp!)

cornsilk · 01/09/2007 18:56

Coast usually have nice coats. I got one 2 years ago in their sale which people still admire, the lining is lovely. Might treat myself this year.

MrsSpoon · 01/09/2007 18:59

I've bought this and these, wasn't sure about the jacket so have kept the tags on but after trying it on a few times I'm going to keep it, wore the jeans yesterday and spilled red wine down them.

Hurlyburly · 01/09/2007 19:03

I have overspent wickedly. Hobbs £600 for work stuff. Boden more for leisure stuff. Whistles a fair bit for both.

I need a sugardaddy to pay for it. If you know of anyone, please CAT me.

Gobbledigook · 01/09/2007 19:06

Just ordered these

Also going to get this

Need a new coat but not got one yet - fancy a really nice warm North Face one.

Oooh, I haven't even started yet

Idreamofdaleks · 01/09/2007 19:06

jacket looks very "now"
re jeans

Gobbledigook · 01/09/2007 19:06

Ooh, those jeans are nice Mrs Spoon

Vulgar · 01/09/2007 19:07

Looked at the cashmere cadis in M&S today . . .lovely! Trying to decide on colour.
Really want a pale pink one but they didn't have any despite having a short sleeved jumper in pink.

Gobbledigook · 01/09/2007 19:07

Shoes in black btw.

Idreamofdaleks · 01/09/2007 19:08

Gobble I wish I could wear shoes like that!
Hurly what did you choose?

MrsSpoon · 01/09/2007 19:21

The jeans are lovely, I've got similar ones from Top Shop but the Monsoon ones are in a nice soft denim and they hang really well, think the wine has come out need to have a good examine of them when they are completely dry ... >klutz

Bouquetsofdynomite · 01/09/2007 19:45

New Uttam dress from Ebay with a fixed on scarf that crisscrosses at the bust and ties at the back. Sadly I think I'm too tall for it, the crisscross is a bit high so it draws attention to my pot belly and hides my award-winning cleavage .

SSSandy2 · 01/09/2007 19:49

nothing yet but I need/want:

a new bag
a new raincoat
a new umbrella (DH wrecked it somehow)
wool pants
flat shoes
flat boots
an emerald ring and a few other baubles

I want EVERYTHING new really!

Hurlyburly · 01/09/2007 19:55

Well what I got from Hobbs was a new sensible black suit, to go with the other three in my wardrobe ... they are the wrong size now, though.

Also a suit the colour of a Minstrel.

Also a natty green cardigan.

I would post pics but I have just discovered that the Hobbs website bears no resemblence to the clothes instore.

SSSandy2 · 01/09/2007 19:56

excuse my ignorance but what is the colour of a minstrel please?

bagpuss · 01/09/2007 19:57

Nothing yet but need:

New cord trousers
New smart jeans
A new smart casual skirt
A few nice tops and knitwear
Some flat winter shoes

A new handbag that dh promised me for my birthday 2 months ago .

Hurlyburly · 01/09/2007 19:58

Erm deep brown with a hint of red

MrsSpoon · 01/09/2007 22:05

Hurlyburly, I love Hobbs.

Hurlyburly · 01/09/2007 22:11

Am a bit tall for Hobbs as their perfect woman seems to be 5' 6" but love their stuff anyway.

MrsSpoon · 01/09/2007 22:35

I used to go into Hobbs in Glasgow and drool all over the shoes, now don't get much further than my local town and we only have about three shops worth shopping in.

AufishFeQueen · 01/09/2007 23:46

I have recently bought myself a grey polo neck jumper from Next and a lovely pair of Mary Janes from New Look and a black jacket from New Look. That is my lot for this year as I don't really need that much to update the rest of the wardrobe as I have the basics in there that just needs the odd up to date piece in it.

1dilemma · 01/09/2007 23:52

1 pair of work shoes, probably need another pair of work trousers waiting to loose 2 stone first!!

nachomama · 01/09/2007 23:55

Today it was a slice of almond and raspberry sponge from a yummy veggie cafe.

i'll mostly be wearing that and some other prize cakes this autumn
