Champagne wedding dress for around £100! Needed in two months! Eek!

Booked our wedding, very small affair.

Decided champagne colour is best for me, satin look with minimal lace, some sparkle. Long, floor length would be good. Ideal sleeves from elbows up but not essential as can buy shrug etc.

I’m going dress ‘blind’ now and can’t seem to find anything.

I did post another thread but thought I’d start a new one with the right colour, style and just in the hope that there will be Saturday night Mnetters with a few minutes to spare Grin

I’ve looked on eBay and there are lots of dresses which you can buy which ‘I think’ come from China but I’m wary about this, even though they are cheap.

Would you hire? Anyone hired? Don’t know?!

Help! Confused

Try monsoon or h&m?

ShreksAuntie · 25/01/2020 20:37

Oxfam sell wedding dresses.

Sorry doesn't exactly fit your bill.. but thought it was lovely for the price.

GrumpyHoonMain · 25/01/2020 20:40

Where are you based? If there is time for adjustment / get things custom made maybe check out some Indian / Pakistani wedding shops in Birmingham or London. That kind of colour style is very much in vogue now

SweetMarmalade · 25/01/2020 20:40

I love the colour of both the Silk Fred dresses but the top half on both aren’t quite right for me.

I’ve looked at Oxfam albeit brief and found it quite expensive Shock

Thanks so far! Going to have another look on Silkfred

Try local charity shops too, and always ask a member of staff if you can't see one as they may have something in the back.

SweetMarmalade · 25/01/2020 20:42

@GrumpyHoonMain Cheshire. Could possibly head over to Birmingham.

Have a look at JJ bridal - here's an example.

Doesn't tick all the boxes, but sharing incase!

SweetMarmalade · 25/01/2020 20:47

@muminmanchester I actually quite like one. Have you experience of buying from this site? I’m so nervous about buying online.

@covetingthepreciousthings lovely dress, really need floor length though. Do like midi dresses mind. Don’t think my boobs would look good in that style though.

What about silver?
You don't mention a size- but looking at the retail price this is a bargain.

Might be others on there - you can filter by UK only.

muminmanchester · 25/01/2020 20:59

@sweetmarmalade my sister is getting married this summer and we are ordering bridesmaid dresses from here, have had swatches which look great but not the finished product. One of the other bridesmaids has used them before though and recommended them

muminmanchester · 25/01/2020 21:00

@sweetmarmalade you can also do a made to measure option from JJ by the way, doesn't cost much more x

mrssmiling · 25/01/2020 21:08

@JesmondDene I LOVE the first one on the link you shared. Too small for me though.

I’m looking for size 12.

OP posts:
SweetMarmalade · 25/01/2020 21:16

@JesmondDene not the silver one, the champagne colour on your second post.

I don’t think silver suits me as much as a warmer champagne or gold colour.

SweetMarmalade · 25/01/2020 21:18

@FarmerWantsABaby they are beautiful dresses and the colour is spot on! I’ll definitely have a think. Grin out of interest what sizes are available?
