Dress for an outdoor wedding in Sydney?

Help! I’m going to a wedding in Sydney in a February and I still can’t find anything suitable to wear. It’ll be hot and it’s outdoors so something summery and cool, maybe cotton or linen. Not super formal. I’m 48 and a very definite pear shape (big fat arse and thighs) size 14/16. I have varicose veins behind my knees which I would normally wear tights to cover but won’t be able to because of the heat so nothing too short. Oh and not too expensive either, the flights are costing an arm and a leg!

I saw this on eBay, what do you think? Too bridesmaidy? Too long? (I’m only 5 foot 3). It’s viscose too so too sweaty?

That looks beautiful and don’t think it’s too bridesmaid like...

Thanks icklekid I think you’re right, I love the fabric with the birds but I think it’s probably just a bit too much with the length and the embroidery

The monsoon one is beautiful, and a great length to cover legs.

Oops icklekid I thought you’d said it did look too bridesmaidy!

The Soon blue/ white one looks great, and it's cotton so a good choice for Sydney in Feb. It gets really hot then, it's often the hottest and most humid month, so I'd go with a cotton dress and some pretty sandals.
