Boden Vevet Coat

I am tempted to buy a Boden velvet coat (from Autumn/Winter 07 catalogue). I like the green one. The only thing I don't like is the rounded collars (I am loving the spotty lining).
Has anyone got one of these coats? If yes, what are they like in the flesh.
Has anyone seen any nice velvet coats anywhere else?
Perhaps someone will talk me out of Boden as to be honest 90% of their stuff is all wrong wrong wrong in the flesh but looks lovely in the catalogue on Ingrid, favourite food: picnic!
Help me I need a coat.

Caroline,I ordered the green one in a 10,but when it came it was huge and not terribly flattering,so I sent it back.Tried to order it in an 8 but 10 week delay!
So I ordered the velvet jacket in the same 'pear' green ,and I can't decide whether to keep it or not!The colour and fit are lovely,but there is something about a velvet coat rather than jacket....IFYSWIM.
I think the colours so delicious that they are seducing me when really the shape is all wrong!

I too had to send mine back for a smaller size. The wait was a few weeks, but I ordered so early it was not too long.
I love the round collar myself, but I am temped by the Toast black velvet coat.
There is something casual about these coats that makes it feel really nice and comfy, but still look semi-dressy.
I have a pretty purple coloured one from last year that I got so many compliments on. I expect I will get loads for this one as well as the colour is so nice.
And it matches the velvet slippers I bought!!

Silentterror - I'd love for a coat to arrive too huge.... would be worth ordering just for that moment.

I sent mine back disappointed with the fit - I didn't like the lining either and the colour - the blue - was more faded than the photo showed.

I have some Dark angel clothing and it's fab!Can't recommend them highly enough. Sad old ex Goth me..the stuff gets dragged out a couple of times a year now.

But I've been eyeing up some of their winter coats for a while now

Coast coats are lovely.
