Waitrose baby bottom butter - discontinued. Now what?

Hi there. I'm one of those people who got to the Waitrose baby bottom butter craze late but then got hooked. For the past few years I haven't used anything else to moisturise my skin but bbb and castor oil. I love it. It doesn't leave me greasy (believe it or not), it's very gentle, no alcohol, no silicon, and it's cheap to boot.

Now Waitrose has discontinued it and I have no idea what to switch to. I have bought a jar of Boots' baby zinc and castor oil cream (it comes in the same jar as the bbb so I thought it could be a knock off) but it's a completely different product.

Any other people here who used bbb on their faces and who have found similar products they are now switching to? I am after a cream (since I already use an oil), something with no alcohol, very rich, and natural (so no to vaseline). Any ideas gratefully received - the other night I went on an 80-mile round trip to bag the last three jars of bbb from one of the few Waitrose stores that still has some in stock (they won't mail them out)... Thank you!

I so agree with you! I love Waitrose's Baby Bottom Butter. It's the only thing I put on my face which actually takes away the lines and makes me feel so good after putting it on.

Am missing it so much and really do hope that Waitrose bring it back soon.

I know this is an old thread, but I too am really missing the Waitrose Bottom Butter. Did anyone have any luck getting hold of any in the end?

I too am missing my Baby Bottom Butter dreadfully. I believe there was talk of Waitrose bringing it back, but I think the Covid pandemic has set it back a bit.

I haven't given up hope though and when this mad world finally gets back to 'normal' I am hoping Waitrose will get their act together and bring it back!

I liked BBB and now use moisturisers form Ultrabee which are great

It’s not quite the same but Palmers do a similar product called Original Solid Formula. I use it on my face and I also use it on my feet if they get dry. I actually prefer it to the BBB (which I still have a tub of somewhere but I found it too heavy).

Just been trying to source bbb and Waitrose still don’t have it!!! Might try making it myself!

Not cheap but some other brands do face balms which are similar in texture. Neals Yard rose balm and the Decleor essential oil face balms for instance.

DIDNT realised it was discontinued until I read this post. was still desperately looking for it. But coz I only have small Waitrose’s round I thought it’s because of that and staff won’t even tell you it’s been discontinued. 😏. That’s a shame really it was really good to me too 😩

Any updates on Waitrose re-stocking it? They are selling Balmonds now, it looks/sounds nice, more costly than BBB though

Just don't understand why Baby Bottom Butter was discontinued - was very popular!
