3-6 month girl old in summer ? What to buy ?

I have a newborn girl and I have no idea on what's practical for buying her for 3-6 months. My older child is a boy and born mid summer, so I can't really reuse anything apart from a few bits as opposite season.

My DS crawled at 6 months so are dresses impractical? There are lots of summer dresses on Facebook selling sites at the mo. I'm more a practical, comfort look for kids, but what should I buy?

My son wore lots of shortsleeved/legged all-in-one rompers.

Mine was a similar age last summer, found some thin baggy cotton trousers in matalan and she had a few shorts/vest top style all in ones.

Girls rompers are great for summer. No fussy layers but easy to add a cardigan if cool or long socks.

Leggings and t shirts for me. Or little cotton jersey shorts from asda.
