'Giftworthy' bar soap

Abelino · 20/01/2020 08:21

I need to get someone bar soap (for hands, not shower use) as part of a birthday present; I want to get them 2-3 so I'm thinking £10 maximum.

Something nicely scented but not Lush would be great (I like Lush but their soaps disappear so fast). The Liberty ones are packaged really nicely and the scents sound nice, but I hate buying without reviews!

Any suggestions gratefully received!

I bought some of this lady's soap before Christmas, wow, not cheap but beautifully packaged, smell gorgeous, full of natural ingrediants and so pretty. I am currently using plum and patchouli .

She does do mail order, but I don't live far so went to see where they are made.

Neste Dante soap from Italy, via Amazon. (And buy some for yourself too - it is gorgeous!)

Thanks everyone! So many to choose from.

I love L'Occitane but fancied getting something different, so I bought a wee selection of Nesti Dante and Cole & Co., and I'm keeping a few for myself Blush

Bronnley lemon and lime are lovely and last for ages
I’ve also had some lovely ones from tkmaxx

HermioneWeasley · 20/01/2020 19:52

The Yorkshire Soap company (recommended on page one) are the best solid soaps I’ve ever used.

Itsjustmee · 21/01/2020 09:23

Nestie Dante. I get them on Amazon and get them reordered every month

, and I'm keeping a few for myself

Goes without saying - quality control Grin

Can anyone recommend a Honey scented soap? Proper honey , not honey&lemon .

Needs to be Non Animal Tested (but it won't be vegan)

I sniffed one in M&S (in a box) but it was florally not honey .

Stumpedasatree · 21/01/2020 12:11

I think Holland and Barrett (Dr Organics) do a manuka honey soap that is honey scented.

Liberty grapefruit soap is really lovely. Another one who’d also recommend l’Occitane, too.

BeNiceToYourSister · 22/01/2020 20:09

Agree re Yorkshire Soap Co and L’occitane. Also Roger & Gallet

Bomb cosmetics have some good soaps

ChrisPriss · 22/01/2020 22:41

The Body Shop soaps are really good and inexpensive

Crabtree & Evelyn used to be gorgeous, but they've massively cut their range down recently (I think they were in financial trouble). Worth keeping an eye out for any leftover in places like T K Maxx though.
