Hit 40 and moustache has appeared out of nowhere - help

I have only been 40 a matter of weeks and now every time I look in the mirror, all I can see is a moustache!

Scared to start doing something and making it worse but it's at the point where I think I need to just bite the bullet.

No idea where to start - hair remover cream, bleach (but then just a pale hairy lip?), wax, threading??

Been furry forever.
Have tried:
Bleaching: okay but still furry...can look a little orange in thinker hairs
Threading: bit time consuming to go and have done in a salon but lovely finish
Metal spring that threads: really offputtingly painful!
Waxing: at home with NADS, one of the best ways. Once a week or so
Hair removing cream: similar to wax, less painful and the one I’ve stuck with. Do it just before bed as it can result in redness.
Tweezer out the off stray between times

Thank you @bionicnemonic, sounds like cream is the way to go. Can I just use the veet I use on my bikini line or does it need to be a special face one?

Good quality tweezers - Rubis

Laser or IPL (can be at home - eg Lumea, you'll need light skin, dark hair and no freckles).

I use boots face one, but only because it’s cheaper and can pay with points!

Bleach just leaves you fury, I also get chin hairs which are naturally blonde and you can still see them.

Waxing doesn’t get finer hairs and you have to wait for regrowth the which doesn’t really appeal, I wanted it gone!

Shaving was ok for the chin but left a greyish tinge on the lip so I looked like a bloke. Plus I have sprouters from several moles and shaving these left them sore

Threading is fab but time consuming, painful and looks like you’ve been slapped.

Currently on face hair removal cream. This is working well but as pp said can leave skin red so do before bed. Also leaves my face quite dry so plenty of moisturiser too helps.

Just reading this back I sound like nanny McPhee Shock getting older sucks lol
