Where do I need to go to have my make up and hair done?

Sorry, I have special needs and I really don’t know because I don’t do this. Is it at a beauty salon? Could they do my hair nicely and put some make up on?

A hair salon will do your hair nicely.

You can get your make up done at a make up counter, either in a specific shop like Bobbi Brown, for example, which you will pay for, or in a department store, which is usually free.

OK, thank you.

Or if you have a college nearby they usually have salons for the beauty students to practise. They could do your hair, nails and possibly your make up too. That would be much cheaper than getting it done at an actual salon.

Some salons have hairdressers and a beautician who can also do make up application, so it’s all in one building.

Two separate places usually... hair salon for your hair to be styled and then either a beautician/salon for make up or a make up counter at a department store. If you like your hairdresser and he/she is nice they might apply some of you’re own make up after doing your hair. Mine definitely would

If you can get to a Turkish or asian salon they'll do your hair and make-up at the same time. They have party looks and styles they can do, eg, hair cut, blowdry, style and up dos. Same for makeup. Party looks, bridal looks etc.
