Should I get my hair done now or after holidays?

I could really do with getting my hair trimmed and colored. But am going on hols in 2 weeks.
I'm sure my color will lighten in the sun - so don't want it to all wash out.
But should I get a trim before - just in case the sun frazzles it. Or just wait till I come home and do it all in a one- er?

I'd get it done now - it will annoy you every time you see it, and think how much more obvious the need for colour will be in three weeks while you're on hols

Cut now for easy styling on hols
Colour after as colour will be utterly ruined by strong sun

even though the dark lowlights will all wash away in the sun?
