Suggestions on hair style / grips...

I have long hair (a couple of inches past my shoulders) and when i put sunglasses on my head it looks really nice.

So i thought about putting an alice band type thing on, however i think it looks a bit naff.

Does anyone have a suggestion of something i can use which does the same thing without looking rubbish?

in h & m they have tons of elasticated things all shapes and sizes

One of those wider bands that covers more of your hair or tie a scarf around and knot it so that it hangs down your back a bit (bit boho)?

h&m has thin elasticated bands - some double which look cool

dont try a u-shaped fabric covered solid headband - they are strictly for alice in wonderland

That was my worry nailpolish - i'd have to skip everywhere looking mightely happy!!!

H&M it is then, i dont think i can keep my sun glasses on my head much longer LOL

a bit like this

I have similar hair and do similar things
These kind of bands (like the Claire's ones below but more subtle colours) are fab (from Boots or Claires, or similar from H&M), but before I found them I used to make my own out of narrow ribbon with a bit of elastic at the back, along these lines

Scarves also good - get the cheap ones from Primark that are meant as belts - but rather than knotting them use a normal hair elastic to fasten the ends together so it's easy to tighten and stays put.
