La-Roche Pricey bloody Effaclar duo!

Absolute rubbish it's been for me.

For background knowledge - I always have (without a good skin care that works) about 5/6/7 spots on my face. Not loads, and those random bumps with absolutely no head or even spots, you just see them in the light? Hmm They're just little bumps..

Anyway, I started using effaclar as it was recommended numerous times on Mumsnet, and I trusted it since I find things recommenced here are often great!

It brought me out in cystic acne?! Albeit just a few. And I stated getting spots in places like my nose and my chin, which I don't get. My skin was horrible.

I stopped using it straight away. I am now using Hibi Scrub as a face wash in combination with Aveeno daily moisturising lotion as a face cream. I do this twice a day. Within two days my skin now looks flawless, like a celebs. I'm over the moon.

Just thought I'd share for anyone disappointed in Effaclar.

How do you use the hibi scrub please? I've used it on my body but never been brave enough to try it on my face. I suffer with hormonal acne on my chin.

frugal I admittedly wash my face with it with a scrubber glove... Probably not recommended but it works for me

I'm sure it works just as well as a face wash that you just lather into the skin and then wash off

Op, I think effaclar only works as a spot treatment (and even then, it's crap). You have been putting it all over your face, right?

Ditch the scrub for now, your skin is already irritated. Just cleanse gently and moisturise for a while

Hibiscrub?! Christ, that must be like washing your face with bleach.

Effaclar duo worked wonders for dds skin.

LRP E duo works really well on my skin, especially as anything with oil / alcohol destroys my skin.
