Alternative to L’Occitane Shea ultra rich comforting face cream

Can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative to my usual L’Occitane Shea ultra rich comforting cream moisturiser please? I have already successfully downgraded my cleanser from liz Earle hot cloth cleanser to Superdrug naturally radiant hot cloth cleanser and am saving loads and I’d like to see if I can save lots more on my moisturiser too. I’m trying a la Roche posay tolerian ultra moisturiser at the moment, but the texture and smell don’t appeal to me as much as the L’Occitane Shea rich. Any suggestions gratefully received to help me cut back in the new year! TIA

Would the la Roche posay cicaplast be better do you think? I couldn’t see a face cream in that range in our large boots

Could Astral be worth a try? I’ve heard that recommended and v cheap. However ideally I was hoping for something with Shea butter content..

I loved that cream I must admit, I can see why you love it. I bought some shea butter and used it with my usual moisturizer x

Tinyandpetite that is a great suggestion. Did you layer one on top of the other or blend the two? What do you use it with?

I layered it on top of the garnier lavender cream- I love. Sounds a strange combo, I really like it. x

Tiny thanks for that tip, I may try it. I have finished the la Roche posay and I liked it but didn’t love it. Just wanted to update that the loccitane Shea Riche moisturiser is available at the moment for about £21. I did the subscribe and save to get an extra 40% off so just got it for about £13 with free delivery which is 60% off. I just need to make sure I don’t get stung by the subscribe and save. I opted for 6 month intervals and will aim to cancel the next delivery if the price is too high.

My skin is currently the best it's ever been due to the no 7 protect and perfect intense range. The Christmas gift sets are great value - got £156 worth products for £35 last weekend in the sale

@cheeseomelette

Oh I want! Are these online? Just had a look on the Boots website and can't see anything close to that level of saving...

Or are you talking about grabbing random bits off a sale shelf?

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/01/2020 21:52

They test it on animals for the Chinese market.

I think it was a couple of random boxes - they weigh a ton so I only got one. None in
my nearest boots today but I'll have another look this week Smile

Meant to say available on Amazon

Dr Organics Virgin Coconut oil night and day cream is AMAZING

I used to use L'Occitane and have downgraded to Aldi Lacura. I actually prefer Aldi now.
