Find me an outfit..

ok been a while since I've been on Mumsnet but I need help finding an outfit.

In 2 weeks I'm having my gulp 30th birthday party . Will be an all dayer (lunch onwards)but probably mostly outside (bbq & pool affair weather permitting) .

So garden party type chic but not with monster heels / overly dressy.. something a little different. I'm a size 8, 5'0! Help!

A casual sexy look is dark smart fitted bootleg jeans (or even skinnies?), maybe in a longer length than you'd usually, and wear these with platform wedges to give you more height but retain comfort and will not sink into non-paved areas if ground is soft. On top, how about a sexy slinky silk camisole + long byeads/long pendant necklace. Maybe if weather gets cooler as evening draws on a you could add a cashmere wrap cardigan.

Upon re-reading this, it doesn't sound garden-party enough though...when someone says garden party to me, I imagine lots of people wearing things from Coast!

ok maybe garden party chic was the wrong brief anyway.. Wedges a fab idea though.
