Emergency dress hunt Lipsy Bella dress

I need help please please please. Ordered the Lipsy Bella multi-way maxi dress in Pine (dark green) from Next as bridesmaid dresses and the 10 fits both of us. I ordered another 10 for us but didn’t try it on straight away and it’s labelled wrongly and is too big ☹️

It’s now not in stock except in Oxford Street Next. As expected at this time of year they aren’t answering the phone but don’t even know if I could buy it over the phone and they post it.

I’ve searched eBay and can’t find it in the dark green colour. Can you fantastic ladies see if you can find it or does anyone have one that I can buy from you.

I’ll phone Oxford Street later tonight and first thing tomorrow in the hope that they answer the phone and I can get it.

I haven’t told my sister (bride) yet as they are so nice and look amazing with her dress.

@justaweeone the 14 that was labelled a 10 is massive and they don’t have a 12 in stock either.
So annoyed as I ordered an 8 last night and it came today but is too small. They had a 10 and a 12 last night too so was really crappy timing.
The original 10 we have we need for the other bridesmaid.
Waiting for Lipsy in Oxford Street Next to answer but think this is a lost cause at this time of year.
I’m loosing weight but think I’d need a miracle before March to fit the 8. Arrrrggghhhh

Have you tried the main Next customer services line or Lipsy?

Have you tried asking your local Next to see if they can get the Oxford St one sent to their store for you to collect?

@sundaynightflight Google says Lipsy is owned by Next and Lipsy.co.uk just takes you to the Next website. Next checked stock in all their stores for me and the only one in stock is Oxford Street.
Just about to call Next back as really annoyed at them (and me) for the dress being wrong.

They are owned by Next but they have a separate customer service team, just wondering if they might be able to help. Local store is also a good shout. Keep hold of the too big one just in case you need to get it adjusted though!

@sundaynightflight Just been on the phone to Next customer services and the Lipsy customer services number just goes through to them she said.
@Loulabelle0 Customer Services are going to see if Oxford Street will send it to a Glasgow store via Royal Mail. She said they have 3 in stock so hopefully that means they are more likely to send it.
Just have to wait now and see what happens.
Just the end to a crappy day which started with sleeping in ☹️

Next just phoned back and Oxford Street have none 😡 Just need to tell my sister now and find an alternative for us. We did try ones on but we’d need to order them asap and I’ll pay the extra cost to expedite the order. My bloody fault though.
Unless a Mumsnet angel has one in her wardrobe? 😁

Thanks for the lovely messages. The dresses are so nice and suit both me and the other bridesmaid so well. I need them for March but the Next customer services lady said she had no date on her system to show when more were arriving so that generally means they wont☹️

Next seem to have an Australian site, the dress is on there but is still out of stock in a size 10, but it is in stock in different sizes to the UK site. I’m not sure if they ship to the UK or if they’ll get more stock in. Might be worth a watch, if you don’t need them until next year.

If you’ve got until March I would find a good local dressmaker and consult them about taking the size 14 in before you start panic-ordering other dresses.

Nothing at Bluewater but I second getting the 14 altered down!

I third getting the bigger dress altered, a seamstress would be able to do that no problem.

Bloody annoying but don't give up and do just have it altered OP, I really can't see any decent seamstress would find it a problem!

Told my sister yesterday and she took it better than expected. General consensus is to get the 14 altered for the other bridesmaid as she has a bigger bust than me so there will be less cutting away to do.

Lipsy have some stand alone stores don't they? Pretty sure there is one at the Trafford Centre, and a few others dotted around, might be worth trying these?

Lipsy have a store in Watford

Sizes 8 and 12 are back in stock. I know not the right size but might be worth a try?

They even came off the website totally but they said it was to stock check as sizes were labelled wrong however since I had a 10 in my favourites I was somehow able to order it. Panic over
