French Polish on toenails yuck or not?

Sat next to a woman today who appeared to have gel french polished toenails. I noticed them because they were so shiny in a 'these aren't real kind of way'.
Glanced down at own pink painted tootsies and they looked quite plain in comparison but I couldn't help thinking she looked as though her toenails were overdue a good cut.
Am attracted to the shiny but not the Howard Hughes look

i always have french manicure on my toes.....but my toenails are not curling over the ends of my toes !

seriously yuck - fingers can look good, but never toes....

I've always thought that french polished fingernails were yuck but french polished toenails were sort of okay. So I had mine done. Basically the whole process is totally yuck. And getting the gunk off is next to impossible without ruining your nails. Oh and I've decided that french polished toenails are yuck.

Coloured gel would be good, no? Just file at the bottom and redo colour - they would last and look good for ages.

French polish Yuk. Sandy/pink/goldy brown natural and short. Just right for me. But whats the point in this rain New sandals not even worn. Look for boots now that fit my chubby calfs.

Red or hot pink look fab. But even blues and greens are better than a french polish.

lulu - you must have very clean feet to get away with that. I spend way too much time barefoot in the garden or wearing 'orrible gardening boots to do anything but paint my grubby toenails with Rouge Noir!

I really don't like french polish on toe nails. To my mind if your toe nails are long enough for a french polish, they are too long and need cutting.

Urgh! They're a bit Victoria Beckham for my liking.
