Babyliss Big Hair has run out of steam

Got my Big Hair out for the first time in a while and it’s running really slowly, like if you use a hairdryer abroad and the voltage doesn’t seem enough. It doesn’t grip and pull the hair taut, the spinnning speed is really slow. Anyone had this happen? It’s a little while old but didn’t expect it to go to sleep in my cupboard

I'm on my third and it sounds like yours is kaput. I always buy from Amazon because you phone them ( it's very hard to find their number) and they'll send a replacement for free next day and ask you to send the broken one back to them in the new packaging. Then they send it back to babyliss.

Mine tends to last 3years ish, I always replace straight away.

It's terribly slow and low power in general compared to other types of this brush. If you're looking to replace id recommend this one. It doesn't rotate but dries quicker and bouncier that the Babyliss https://www.boots.com/revlon-pro-collection-one-step-dryer-volumiser-10235019?cmmmc=bmm-buk-google-ppccPLAsAsHeroCompareareRevlon--Boots+Shopping+-+Category+-+Electrical+Beauty+-+Tablet&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIytGAwqm35gIVjbTtCh0dSQxDEAQYAiABEgKTVvDD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

It's probably got hair wound round the mechanism inside.

The same thing happened to mine and I fixed it following instructions from a video on youtube. Took all of 5 minutes and it's worked fine ever since.
