A little shorter than I'd like, but they grow quickly

Wish I'd gone for a darker red, but I still like them.

Try essie gel topcoat
I don't bother with base coat. Just any old nail varnish for me like rimmel or whatever then the essie topcoat
It can last until the varnish grows well away from cuticles so up to 2 weeks
Someone recommended on here and said she'd got rid of her gel/uv set up as essie so good

@iamtooknackered I love those. My nail lady refused to do anything that wasn't sparkly red 😂😂 Good thing I love it.

@abitoflight thank you! I’ll give it a try :) I remember someone years ago saying it peels because your nails produce oil and that makes the varnish lift off. Not sure if that’s true or not?! How many layers of colour and how many layers of top coat do you use?

I do 2-3 thin coats of colour delending on the colour density and 1 coat of top coat
I think the way varnish stays on it dependent on personal chemistry. OPI has never suited me but does others

These are DD's. Very pretty. I don't know how she functions with such long nails! Her nails always look great and she often has very innovative colours.

Finally got my nails now I’m off work!

Mine aren't very christmassy, a red shellac (can't remember the shade) with a little glitter on one nail. Do them myself so not perfect.
