I'm looking for a very warm but botally waterproof coat.
What one would you recommend from North Face or Didrickson ?

Not north face if you want practicality, they have become a fashion bran in recent years as opposed to a useful brand in recent years also synonymous with drug dealers round here

Another vote for Didrikson from me. Warm and waterproof,

Asda one only in small, medium and large. I'm size 12 and the small fastened and looked good but a was bit constricted across shoulders. There was no medium but pretty sure it would be too big! Also only 2 basic pockets.

I too have the Didricksons Vilda parka mentioned upthread and I love it. I’ve lost a lot of weight since last winter so I actually bought it again two sizes smaller as I couldn’t bear to live without it!

It looks like Didrikson wins, judging by your replies. Thank you.

Didrikson all the way. Last year I bought one (Frida) to go on a trip to Iceland in the winter. Water and wind proof with taped seams. Lost it last week when I slipped on ice dislocating my elbow and the ambulance man had to cut it off to assess the damage. I'm already online looking for another Didrikson. While I was lying on the frozen ground waiting for the ambulance to arrive I was still toasty warm. It was also a great slimming fit, smart looking and had lots of pockets.

Thank you MigsandTigs.
Sorry to hear you had a bad fall.
I hope you are getting better

I have a Didrikson I wear for dog walking in winter, had for a few years now and is totally waterproof and washes really well. Only downside is it isn’t very stylish, and is quite heavy (my dad compares it to a horse rug 🙈)
