Another dress opinion thread

Hi all
I have my work night out tomorrow. I've had a crap year with my health this year (perianal abcess and fistula which is still ongoing) and with how rubbish I've been feeling I havent dressed up in well over 6 months since it first started. I cant drink with the meds I'm currently on so I'm going to feel self conscious enough going out anyway when everyone will be merry so i just want to wear something that makes me look half decent for my own self confidence.
What is your opinion on this dress? I plan on dressing up with some black and gold statement earrings and a black and gold clutch. I really have lost all self confidence over the last few months (it's no fun constantly having a leaking raw arse!) so really not sure if I've got it completely wrong with this dress.
Happy to take feedback (positive and negative). Is this dress ok for a saturday night works night out?

It looks lovely. If you are going to wear those shoes and bare legs (brrrr!), maybe coloured toe nails?

After all that worrying ladies I sont think I'm going to go anyway. Fistula been playing up all night meaning I wont be able to go more than a couple of hours without changing my dressings and applying gels to it. Obviously cant take all of that out with me so going to have to leave it! Ah well I'll maybe get the chance to wear it next year x

Aw OP, that's a shame. Wear the dress another time - it looks great. If you have put a stone on, you must have been so skinny before, because you look just right now.

Those shoes look like they'd be SO uncomfortable and difficult to walk on, though - real taxi-to-door shoes.

Wear the dress to the fancy meal, I don't think it will be OTT.

No I'm bottling it and doing jeans and a fancy top instead. Didn't realise how much confidence this year has knocked out of me - I just don't feel brave enough to leave the house in the dress x
