Do you ever see anyone out and about and think 'Wow she looks amazing'?

I was in Primark today and saw a young woman who looked absolutely amazing and eye-catching, even though on paper she was dressed in a 'regular' way.

She was probably late 20s or early 30s, slim but not skinny, average height and was wearing skinny ankle grazer jeans with trainers and a black plain long sleeved top. Her hair was long, not particularly 'done' and a bit of a wavy/dishevelled style.

She just looked totally amazing! And now I want to know what her secret it! :-D

What's the most amazing/eye catching person you've seen looked/dressed like?

Yes used to work in the same building as a woman who just looked wow. She was slim and pretty, but not especially so (I mean there are prettier girls). But there was something about her, every time I saw her she just looked amazing. I don’t know what it was, as she would just be wearing fairly normal clothes, it’s odd.

whatsinthebagwhatcoulditbe · 04/12/2019 19:10

A woman I work with looks incredible every single time I see her. She is literally a millionaire though and buys all her clothes in Harvey Nichols. She's also very slim and has beautiful highlights. Plus amazing bespoke jewellery. My Zara work wardrobe doesn't quite cut it next to that!

icannotremember · 04/12/2019 20:05

All the time! For very different reasons.

managedmis · 04/12/2019 20:06

Was she beautiful though? That kinda helps

Sweetpeach3 · 04/12/2019 20:11

I just hate the people who seem to role out of bed and look effortlessly stunning

Like when people have the messy natural hair and waves - iv never beenable to get this look and iv tried loads of different ways just doesn't happen

As for style I live in leggings and T-shirt's or joggers I just can't break the habit to try something new an I love some of the new styles (casual) people have an o just can't pull it off like others.

I just don't care no more! Iv not got the time. Il just envy those other girls forever more or until I don't have toddlers and actually have time to make more effort on myself and wear nice clothes without being used a snot rag guarenteed before I leave the door 🤷🏼‍♀️
One day ....
one day!!!!

BohoBlonde · 04/12/2019 20:47

@managedmis well, I noticed her from behind at first, she just looked so stylish. Her face was fairly pretty but I wouldn't say she was beautiful.

I met someone well known at my exercise class the other day. My god, I don't think over seen anyone more attractive in my life. I kept stealing sneaky sidewards glances at her. I was in awe!

I also saw someone at the weekend at a foodie market who was stunning. A bit like Kate Beckinsdale. All long, thick, shiny, swooshy hair, slim as a pin, fabulous skin.....you get the picture.

I used to be head turningly gorgeous but my looks literally fell off the edge of a cliff at 46. I look like a dropped pie now.

Deathraystare · 05/12/2019 11:06

Yes! All the time. Mostly a lot thinner than me, with lovely shiny hair and perfect make up. Howl!

Even when all wrapped up - a number of very stylish Muslim women with amazing make up and stylish accsesories. Jealous cos my eyes run all the time and cannot get a decent eye liner look!

Even some ladies big like me seemed more put together. Hmph!

BillywigSting · 05/12/2019 11:10

Absolutely.

There is one woman who lives near me and she's about 80 odd but just oozes style. I have absolutely no idea how she does it. She's very glamorous.

I think it's 90% a confidence thing tbh

onemouseplace · 05/12/2019 11:19

This is going back a good 15 years, but there used to be a lady who got the same train as me that I was slightly obsessed with (style-wise that is!) - she wasn't especially thin or beautiful, and was probably a good 15-20 years older than me, but she just looked so well put together all the time - had an amazing selection of coats and lovely handbags, and fantastic hair.

SunshineAngel · 05/12/2019 11:24

There's a girl who attends the same hobby as me, and she is my age, and just complete perfection.

I know you can't see what goes on inside people's heads or lives, but she's been with her partner since she was 14, got married a few years ago, bought a beautiful house, they both have amazing cars, they don't want kids but have a couple of dogs, always doing family things and going on holiday..

They both have really good jobs, great pay, good hours, generous holidays, short commutes. Unlike many, they are also both really passionate about their jobs, and love going into work.

And she always looks absolutely perfect. Her skin, teeth and smile are perfect, she never has a hair out of place, and even when she turns up in gym clothes (as she works out each evening, and sometimes doesn't have time to get changed) she STILL looks stunning.

I've said to so many people .. it's not like I'm unhappy with my own life, but wow, I want to be her!

ComeOnGordon · 05/12/2019 11:31

I’ve been tempted to tell people who catch my eye that they look so stylish. Recently it was a woman in her early 60’s with the most stunning grey hair. She looked so good - not trying to be younger but the hairstyle and her clothes really caught my eye.
Often what catches my eye is an amazing Afro - I’ve got curly hair but nothing like that.

Shosha1 · 05/12/2019 11:57

Long time ago back in the 80's was walking along Poole Quay. About 6 am. ( Was on way home from the night before) and saw a girl/ woman get off a yacht and walk away before me. Tall, slim with her dark hair tied up with what looked like a sock. Just in jeans and T shirt. No make up. But maybe it was the way she held herself. The way she walked, I just had to watch her. Stunning.
Later I saw in the parer it was Yasmin Le Bon. Absolutely beautiful

Paddy1234 · 05/12/2019 12:01

Yes - I was at the supermarket a few weeks ago. There as a lady sitting down - must have been in her 80/90's. She looked amazing - elegant, beautiful clothes, jewellery. Hair and makeup perfect. 🙌 life goals

MaudesMum · 05/12/2019 13:20

I was on the tube quite a few years ago, and there was a really stylish older woman - messy silver grey hair, black leather jacket, biker boots, loads of bangles and bracelets. At the time it made me realise you didn't have to give up when you got old, and could still look a bit edgy and stylish. I'm now approaching the age she probably was, and - just occasionally - look at myself and think I'm nearly looking as good as she did!!

TroysMammy · 05/12/2019 13:26

I know a lovely lady in her 80's. She dresses well, has immaculate makeup, she could be Joan Collins' twin. She definitely has the wow factor.

IamEarthymama · 05/12/2019 13:30

I see lots of women who look great, I always tell them!
It's really nice to compliment people, I love it when it happens to me.
I have short white hair on which I use a violet toner. Rarely a day goes by without a stranger asking about how I achieve the look.

I don't look so good clothes wise recently, I have been quite ill and don't have the energy to pull my look together as I normally would. I am hoping this will improve as I start to feel better. In fact I will make sure I look a bit more pulled together when I next leave the house!

I saw a woman in great boots and tights, a mini skirt and chunky jumper, with a orange teddy coat this morning. Her hair was fab too so I spoke to her and told her what I thought. We had a nice little chat before she passed on her way. It's an easy way to be a nice person.

BeatriceTheBeast · 05/12/2019 13:30

If she was young, tall and slim, that probably went some way to making her look amazing! I am only one of those things, which on its own isn't so attractive Xmas Grin.

I had a friend at school who rolled out of bed and looked amazing. I know this to be true from sleepovers. I've seen pictures of her on Facebook and she is still stunning. Some people just are. Not overdone, loads of make up, big blonde hair extensions, mini skirts and massive heels kind of stunning, just natural beauties. Dicks Xmas Wink.

BeatriceTheBeast · 05/12/2019 13:32

Someone did compliment me on my outfit recently though and asked where I'd bought something. It was lovely. My mum used to make a point of telling other women when she thought they looked nice. I think it's nice.

WeCameToDanceWithTheDead · 05/12/2019 13:33

The most stylish woman I've ever seen was in a hospital (the bit where all the coffee shops/W h smiths is). She was probably late 30's or maybe early 40's and she was dressed incredibly.
I wouldn't say she was facially beautiful but she was tall and thin and her clothes just hung off her perfectly. High wasted straight leg jeans with a perfectly fitting leather jacket that was cut at the exact right point for her frame. She also had the most perfect, manicured auburn bob with full fringe I've ever seen! Seriously not a hair out of place.
She looked amazing but it was the way she carried the clothes rather than the clothes themselves.

userabcname · 05/12/2019 13:37

I saw a woman yesterday walking along the high street - she was dressed in a uniform (looked medical) and was probably average weight and height but her hair!!!! My goodness. Thick, wavy, fair and glowing in the sunshine (looked natural but could have had highlights I guess - I didn't stare). It was long enough to look good down but cut nicely so it didn't overwhelm her or look a mess. Looked gorgeous, I thought how lucky she is to have such beautiful hair.

kelper · 05/12/2019 13:38

I've started telling women if I like their hair/trousers/shoes whatever, because I've had a few people do it to me and it makes you feel awesome!
I do still have to learn to take a compliment though, when I was at work the other day a customer said she loved my hair (Short blonde slightly manic looking) and all I could think of to say was, thank you but its just at the point of needing cutting again!
Didn't need to say that at all!! How do you learn to take a compliment?!

BeatriceTheBeast · 05/12/2019 13:49

YY @kelper. The same day I got complimented on my outfit, I saw a woman, maybe in her late fifties/ early sixties. Maybe older. But she was wearing the most amazing lace up , calf length boots. I told her I loved them as she walked past.

MrsFionaCharming · 05/12/2019 14:00

I’m a student, and the other day I was shadowing a junior doctor. She had the most wonderful, high waisted, wide leg, tweed trousers. They looked really high end, plus a gold and cream striped silk blouse.

She looked amazing, but sadly I was trying to look professional and keen to learn and all that, and wasn’t sure asking her where she shopped would fit that image!

Shimy · 05/12/2019 14:09

Just ask next time you see someone who looks amazing! I always do this and you find people are very happy to chat about where they got their clothes from and how they happen to look so fabulous.
