Has anyone else bought the Birchbox advent calendar?

Unpacked it from the cardboard box it arrived in tonight (calendar still sealed so far)

It's blinking heavy, isn't it! :)

Today's was a disappointment- I'm bored of random hair shampoos. It's just dull! Oh well

Kez0777 · 11/12/2019 07:30

I agree but if we are having shampoo and conditioner it would be much better to have them same brand! I don't like using a mix.
Love today's lip plumper. Hoping it will work well as a base under my matte lipsticks

RenardeRenarde · 11/12/2019 15:54

Lip plumper, hmmm, not for me. Im finding this advent calendar a bit dull tbh, I’m not very excited to open it each morning.

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 11/12/2019 16:06

I agree, shampoos on their own aren't much good when you're supposed to be testing the range with view to continuing to buy it

I used the shampoo and conditioner last night and whet for a meal with my sister. She asked if I'd had my hair done because it looked really lovely. I'm rubbish at hair and it never looks lovely so maybe the shampoo and conditioner combo is a winner Grin

housebuyer101 · 12/12/2019 11:48

today's was fab, love the smell and I love having a little perfume to take with me

RenardeRenarde · 12/12/2019 16:05

Today’s perfume was a nice treat, lovely little bottle and I’ve wanted to smell this for a while. It’s quite a nice, inoffensive scent but I don’t think I’ll wear it. Still a very good pick for the calendar and I suspect my mum (who is a perfume junkie!) will happily take it off my hands.

Dry shampoo. Hmm. I've got to say I'm not impressed by this calendar really. M&S last year was better. I'm also a bit pissed off the content are misleading. The Paula's Choice says on the website full size and it blinking isn't.

RenardeRenarde · 17/12/2019 12:21

Feel a bit the same, it’s not a patch on my Glossybox one from last year. I do happen to buy and like this particular dry shampoo so today’s was good for me, but almost everything else in the calendar has been a bust

LimpLettice · 19/12/2019 07:11

Another non full sized product this morning which was advertised as full. Stroppy email will be following. DH been a bit ripped off he thinks, especially as he pointed out their boxes are usually £10 for 7 small items. So £70 for 25 with limited full sized is not great.

Shame as the cleanser feels nice Hmm

Kez0777 · 19/12/2019 07:37

Let us know how you get on, I think they will say they are full sized as they are 30ml and not a sample size!
I've like it but not been as wow as I usual am with the M & S one. Let's hope the next few days are amazing

LimpLettice · 07/01/2020 16:00

For anyone still following, they finally replied and said the full size thing was a typo and sent a £10 'gesture' back as an apology.

Kez0777 · 07/01/2020 21:04

I presume they will only give this if people complain?
I'll send them an email, that's for letting us know

LimpLettice · 08/01/2020 10:59

I'd think so, @Kez0777
