Retinol virgin - where to start? Is Beauty Pie super retinol any good?

I’ve been wanting to try retinol for nearly 2 years but held off due to pregnancy and breastfeeding (which I’ve now just stopped).
Where do I start? I know you need to start gently and build up frequency of use and strength gradually. Any suggested starter products?
My skincare regime is fairly good - I use daily hyaluronic acid, regular glycolic acid and a daily standalone SPF 50.
I’ve just joined Beauty Pie - their super retinol products appear to be a lower %, intended to be used everyday, which I guess doesn’t result in the initial flakiness issues, but does it work?!
And finally, so as to manage my expectations, what results have you had? I’m 37 and have lines above my eyebrows that I’d like to reduce as well as some fine lines around my eyes.

Hi, have a look at Caroline Hiron's youtube videos on retinol - she has one for 3 different strengths of retinol. From what I remember she put the beauty pie in the lowest dose of retinol category and the negative was that they didn't say how much retinol was in the product. I don't think it's bad, I think it would just take a bit longer to have an effect.

I started with skinceuticals 0.3. I started at using it every 3rd night, now it's usually every other night. You may also have to change moisturiser etc as mine began to sting.
It took about a month but there is definitely a difference in fine lines etc and I will continue with it especially in the winter months.
