Anyone used both? Is one better than the other or are they much of a muchness? I have slightly but not very dry skin which is also very sensitive. I’m 49

Elemis pro-collagen is very perfumed (I always think it smells like Dior Poison) so I wouldn't recommend it if your skin is sensitive. It's also more of a lotion tbh, a very thin cream. I used to use it but never saw the benefits to justify the cost.

I thought the magic CT was a primer/highlighter rather than a proper moisturiser, but I've not paid much attention in all fairness

The CT magic cream is really really lovely, I used a full sample pot and went to buy the full tip but couldn’t stomach the price. In hindsight I wish I’d just bought it as I know I like it but I ended up spending MORE money on stuff from Kiehls, none of which I use

Thank you both. @TheCanterburyWhales, yes, it did seem heavily perfumed. I think I’ll try the CT one and see how it goes unless anyone has anything better they’d like to recommend? Thanks

I’ve only used magic cream so can’t compare, but it really was magic. Shame it does cost so much, it puts me off buying it.

TheCanterburyWhales · 01/12/2019 08:13

Definitely- that's it isn't it? I'm the same, wince at the price of something I love, then end up buying ten pots of something else trying to find something similar!

I might have a look at the Magic now!

Hope you enjoy it OP, report back.

Apparently M&S have a dupe of the Magic cream in its Rosie Huntingdon Whitely range - Rosie for Autograph.

Canterbury - exactly, I’ve spent so much in the search for good creams when I should have just stuck to what I know. Same with makeup! Have changed my whole outlook recently though and that’s exactly what I’m doing, as something finishes I repurchase it rather than try to replace it.

I dont find the marine cream smells strong. Its quite subtle. Always worth buying from qvc.

Glitterb · 01/12/2019 08:45

I love the magic cream but like you cannot stomach the price! I’ve had samples and thought it was brilliant!

MillyMollie · 01/12/2019 08:50

The Elemis Marine cream did nothing for me.
At the price I was expecting a total transformation Smile

LaurieFairyCake · 01/12/2019 08:51

The pro collagen comes in 'rich' too - much thicker

What makes it so magic? I think the 2 ingredients that make the biggest difference are the hyaluronic acid and the vitamin c.
You get a decent amount of hyaluronic acid in cerave face products. this vit c serum works well considering the price.
You can recreate the magic without the price tag, it’s just that bit more faff.
