Please tell me if I am too old for this dress. I'm 42.

It's for a family gathering on Boxing Day in Singapore, so it will be hot.

I'm 42 and a size 12 (164cm and 64kg). I'm usually more of a loose, flowy dress wearer, so second-guessing this one, even though I love it.

Oh thank you. I guess I am a bit self conscious about my upper arms and stomach area, and this dress highlights them both...

My arms are not at all toned, so tend to wear 3/4 length sleeves, but it will just be too hot.

Of course you’re not too old! It’s a lovely dress if you have the boobs for it. ie small and pert. I’m also a size 12 but boobs are quite the opposite of small and pert 😔 so it just wouldn’t suit me. It sounds perfect for what you need.

In that case you are not going to be comfortable - look again .

It’s definitely not unsuitable for your age! But I think it might be unsuitable for the weather. It’s polyester and you’d have to wear a strapless bra and possibly Spanx type knickers. A loose, floaty dress that covers your perceived problem areas would be better.
