What’s your regime?
Where do you shop?

Thank you 😊

I prefer a dissolute glamour.

Do fuck all, love yourself and slap on a bit of red lipstick when it suits.

Actually working out what I spend a month
Nails twice a month £60
Facial £100
Eyelashes/eyebrows £80
Pedicure £40
Hair £60
Make up /cleansing stuff £15

Clothes I do buy a lot but I tend to splurge every few months

Back in the summer I bought loads of Spanx leggings and 2 pairs of boots
I also bought two more pairs of knee high boots and a new coat last month so if I add all that up since Sept probably about £1000 on clothes

I need to stop spending I think 😂

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/11/2019 23:19

In terms of money I pay £62 every five weeks for hair, and £10 once a fortnight for eyebrows. The rest of it kind of gets absorbed into weekly spending, picking up a face mask in Boots or whatever.

I work four full days a week, and do bits of freelance on top, for pp asking if people worked. Decent household income between me and DP, and no children.

@alreadyinchristmasmood Also not trying to be rude, but wondering if you have kids and how old, and whether you work outside the home? I am just amazed at how people find the time.

memaymamo · 30/11/2019 05:38

@Judystilldreamsofhorses Thanks for answering the work question. I am impressed and admiring, I guess it comes down to how you choose to prioritise doesn't it.

Spaceprincess · 30/11/2019 08:09

I'm known for being glam, but dont think in high maintenance, I do a lot myself...but I definitely will be compared to some.
Routine.
Eyelash extensions/gel polish every 2 weeks in salon.
Have platinum blonde Russian extensions, same salon fits them, I have maintenance probably every 8 weeks. Do own roots/toner with professional colour.
Wash/blow curl hair myself but I'm ok at hair.
Have botox couple of times a year, forehead/#11s
5ml juvederm in lips twice a year
Retin A (from Poland) every other night, factor 50 in the day.
I usually wear dresses, but have a slightly alternative edge but only slight so am not full on Cheshire housewife.
In summer I do own gradual tan as and when, shave legs etc as cba with waxing, paint and file own toes/feet

alreadyinchristmasmood · 30/11/2019 09:47

@memaymamo I'm a lawyer, imagine how much work I do. No, we don't have any children yet, we will soon TTC.

I can afford it, it only takes two hours a week (max), as I get my nails & hair done at the same time(usually at 8 in the morning before work), it would take a lot longer if I did it
at home + my hair needs to look good at all times. Not sure why it seems like a lot of time, or like I spend the whole week at the salon.

See, easy to judge and think others have a glam life Wink

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 30/11/2019 16:44

@memaymamo I think you might be over-estimating time/effort! I had my hair cut this afternoon, which took an hour. I’m going to have a bath shortly, will do a face mask in there, then afterwards will do a pedicure while watching Strictly. Painting my fingernails takes about 30 minutes. There’s an eyebrow place five minutes from my work, so I just pop in when I can see they’re not busy. I tinted my eyelashes last night, which takes about five minutes to put on, then I cleaned the bathroom (not glam) while waiting on the dye to take.

I think you just get in a routine, maybe? I worked five full days until this year, plus freelance stuff on the side, so while you’re right about prioritising, it honestly doesn’t take long.

gypsywater · 30/11/2019 16:54

@Spaceprincess FIVE ml of Juvederm in your lips twice a year?! As in TEN ml a year?! WOWSERS! I have one ml and feel plump!

gypsywater · 30/11/2019 16:54

I want to see your lips now!

Iamthewombat · 30/11/2019 17:09

I’m both glam and high maintenance but the only things I have done professionally are hair and bikini waxing. The rest, I do myself.

Christ, it’s knackering. Especially applying fake tan in the bathroom at 11.30 pm, exhausted after rising at 6.15 am to look decent and do an hour’s commute to be at my desk before 8.30, a nine hour day minimum, an hour’s commute home, quick turnaround to get out to running club or gym, dinner with DH and associated wife work (listening to him complain about his colleagues...he works from home), basic life admin and getting organised for the next day.

I don’t even have kids. How do people with children keep up high visual standards? How?

@Iamthewombat I don’t even have kids. How do people with children keep up high visual standards? How?

My thoughts exactly🤣🤣🤣

@Purplecatshopaholic - do you find regular skin peels keep you looking much younger?
