I know it's a terribly boring find me a dress scenario.....
But..... I'm at a bit of a loss. The last naice dress I wore was at a tropical wedding years ago....I have a smart wool mix interview dress but it's too worky. I'm 5 4 boyish figure (30 c, small boobs) size 10 but with a small belly and wider thighs hips (very not hourglass). I can't do deep V or wrap (no boobs) and a higher neck is good. Arms and legs below knee are good but I don't want to freeze. I've got brown hair probably look better in navy than black but can do brights. I hate purple....
I've no idea of what 40 something's wear to black tie? I've found two brand alley dresses. What do people think

The navy sequinned one is lovely and appropriate. Personally, I dislike the floral one. It might look better on but is far less evening formal party wear and possibly slightly frumpy.

I agree, 1st one is good.
Not overly keen on the second, I wouldn't class it as appropriate for black tie.

First one is perfect well done!

Blimey result.... I was worried chiffon and sequins were a bit fairy princess (and to be honest I'm more fairy godmother)...
