Can you get a bikini wax when on your period?

I know I can - physically, and that maybe I just might be more sensitive/need paracetamol etc. But I mean can I, in a "is if socially acceptable" sort of way? Will the beautician be repulsed? Usual stuff - I'm very clean, will shower first, have a tampon in etc. But the few times I've done it before it's always been a "pants totally off" thing and I'm just a bit unsure about whether it's acceptable or not.

General thoughts?!

waxing increases the sensitivity!

I have not found this to be the case at all tbh.
I wouldn't have a wax while had my period, I don't think It's very nice for the person doing the waxing. However, that's just a personal thing on my part.

@Talcott2007

Holy fuck! I am Halloween Shock, Halloween Envy (not envy), but also a little 😂 / Halloween Grin at that story. Jesus. A lesson to us all! Tuck, tuck, tuck!

I'm a Beauty Therapist and have no issue whatsoever waxing someone on their period. Its all the same to me. They must wear a tampon though. Give them a wipe to use before they get on the bed advise them to tuck in the string as yes the wax can catch and just yank it straight out! (never happened me thankfully!!) and start the treatment. Some people find it more painful other dont. Everyone is different and if you are used to having that area waxed it gets less sore each time. Enjoy your weekend!

Being an old girl now my periods are all over the place... my waxing appointments though are regular- every 4 weeks. Anyway my period arrived on the morning of my appointment so I just told the beautician when I got there and said that I would be okay with a high line wax rather than a Brazilian but she said no problem so long as I had tampon in and that was it.

I don’t find it particularly painful anyway and don’t think it was ‘more’ painful.

I would have thought a bloke would be more put off sex by the period than the public hair..

She was asking on Monday for the following weekend so it's fair to assume it would have finished

@DartmoorChef I'd have thought the same but my current partner doesn't care at all and does absolutely everything!Confused.....perhaps OP has a similar partner!
