Definitely worth it if you have mahoosive calves like mine - haven't been able to find boots to fit anywhere else. Only got one pair, but love them - seem well made, and hopefully will see me through a couple more years (at least).

Oh no, you have planted the seed now, need to go to website !!! Forgot all about them.

They've got the new season's stock in. Might have to go for some myself (and some are 'only' £100)

I think they are well made, but not particularly fashionable. Quite a limited range - lots of heels & dressy boots but not many everyday flats etc. If you have large calves its great to find any knee boots that will do up! so thats a bonus, although as the leg size is bigger I also find the ankle size bigger ( which I dont need ) so they tend to wrinkle around ankles. All in all, there isnt that much choice for wide calves ( or very narrow come to that )so they are better than nothing, but overpriced. Evans do boots for bigger calves, not great quality but a bit more fashionable. So do Next, M&S & Clarkes but they are not much bigger than normal boots.

I love my black Duo boots - I have chunky calfs and they are the only ones that fit. Good if you have skinny calfs too.

They are well made - I have had mine 2 years and will definitely be able to wear them this winter and maybe even next winter too. I think they were £110 new so even if I only get 3 years use out of them that is only £36 a year. Bargain.

I have a hankering for some green suede ones but will just have to hanker as I have no idea what I would wear them with - I just like the look of them.

Love mine, got a pair of cherry red (kind of washed red) last year, They have a low chunky heel and go with everything.

I'd say to get a pair of well made boots that are almost made to measure they are definately worth it. You'd pay £90 in topshop for a pair but they wouldn't even come close to fitting as well as my Duo one's do. I've got the cherry red ones too! www.duoboots.com/calf_fitted_boots/casual/bern

i like the look of the malmo ones - anyone tried them? cant do link im afraid

FromGirders · 12/09/2007 21:23

Ooh yes, they're well worth it. I've ever tried on boots that actually fitted before.
However, if you're not in a hurry they have a really good sale in the spring. Sign up for their newsletter thingummyjig. The ones i paid £130 for last December went down to £80 and then £55 (sob).
