I know my heart sank as well! Im not really a dressing up person but in the spirit of things I need to make atleast some effort.

For me as a teenager during 90s the style was grunge more than anything else. Pearl Jam, nirvana, smashing pumpkins etc.

Ive got a Nirvana tshirt and DMs but cant find a long black tassle skirt like i used to wear (i think we called them Indian skirts?)
I dont really want to buy anything specifically for it anyway as i might not wear it again and that would be a waste.

Could i get away a short black ragged edged denium skirt with band tshirt, black tights and docs? And 90s style makeup? I probably still have a dark lipstick and heqvy eyeliner somewhere Grin

Absolutely. In my experience some people are v loose in their interpretation of the theme.

As long as you feel happy in the outfit, that’s the most important thing.

Maybe a check shirt?
It’s a shame you just missed this

Yes that will definitely work especially with the makeup and maybe a choker?

That sounds v similar to what I wore to a 90s party except I had denim shorts rather than a skirt which I drew all over in biro. Living the dream.

Trying to avoid purchasing anything and rustle up things from my loft/wardrobe - i do remember lots of velvet though Grin
