Help me find somethingo similar t this very chunky scarf in toast

I absolutely love this scarf, but after about 5 minutes it starts to feel itchy. Just enough to bother me. Have read all about soaking in vinegar or hair conditioner, but don’t want to risk it as won’t be able to return if it doesn’t work.

I haven’t seen anything else that looks quite so chunky, and I particularly like the mix of black and cool tone browns.

Has anyone successfully made anything less itchy, or seen a scarf similar anywhere - up to about £200.

If you're looking up to £200, I can't imagine Primark or New Look are your thing, but they have lots of "blanket" style scarves in at the moment. More like a pashmina I suppose, but definitely not itchy.

Are you allergic to wool? I can't go near anything with even a tiny % of any wool type.

Cotton, anything that is 100% cotton and you will be fine.

Anything that has the tiniest amount of wool, polyester, or acrylic will make you itch (imo)

You can get some fab cotton yarn (4pl or dk and sometimes some chunky yarns) that can be knitted into this pattern, you could get hold of your local knitting group whereby someone there might knit it for you. We quite often get people asking us to knit something for them. All they ask is you buy the yarn and possibly a drink/food (we meet in a local pub) for payment.

Good luck 😁 an avid 34yr old knitter 🤪

Jacksback that one looks great except that the colour is far too warm for me - would make my skin look grey!

Thanks Twatting , am now googling ‘blanket scarf’ - which is proving much more productive than variations on ‘chunky’.

tbhf I think I must be allergic, I am a lot better to wear such things after an antihistamine!

God, the idea of a willing knitting group sounds great!

There are quite a lot of oversized scarves on Asos at the moment.
