Shower water softener for skin/hair recs

Hi everyone,

I don’t know if this is the correct place to post this, but I’m currently on holiday and finding the water is so much better for my skin and hair. I live in a hard water area, and would like something for my shower to make the water softer.

I don’t have the cash to buy a full on water softener. I was looking at one of those gadgets that attaches to the shower head.

Has anyone had any experience of using one, and do they actually work?

No advice @Cherryblossom200 but placemarking as the city I moved to has destroyed my hair

It’s crap isn’t it. I’ve put up with it for far to long. Being abroad has made me realise how much better my skin and hair look with softer water. I’ve looked at the shower attachment things on amazon and don’t want to spend my money on something which is just a gimmick.

Have a post/look on property/diy or housekeeping there are some soft water threads on there already.
