Control Pants - which ones?

I want a pair of super-dooper knickers that will flatten my tum and make me look goddess like.
I logged on to Figleaves to buy some Spanx as they've been raved about and saw they were £54
Now if everyone says they're worth it then fine, but I need to seek your expert opinions and advice please ladies.

Just looked at Spanx again -
these are the 54 quid ones and these are 23 quid

Anyone tried either?

i went to a boutique type underwear shop and tried them on. definitely worth it. i got ones called a body wrap it was fecking fantastic and saved my wedding day. don't think i paid more that £30 53 seems too much.

I have the cheaper ones and they work well. I always tuck the top under my bra but they never fall down or roll down.

thats teh one.

at the risk of sounding like a broken record - you should have a look in tk max if you can cos they sometimes have spanx stuff for a fraction of the cost.

I got the Trinny and Suzannah ones which go from bra to mid-thigh. The sales assistant told me to go a smaller size if I could squeeze into them. They were really good at disguising my wobbly post-baby tummy and also lifted my bum and helped my 'love handles''!

Are you anywhere near a branch of John Lewis? It's just that they have every size of Spanx, Magic Pants and T & S available to try on. I would never have bought a smaller size if I'd bought them online and don't forget you can't return them.

They were £35 I think. They are called the Bum, Tum and Thigh Reducer. The flesh colour is a better buy imo - because you can wear them under something sheer.

How on earth do you go to the loo in THOSE????

WaynettaSlob · 17/08/2007 09:06

thanks LadyMac - am in Canary Wharf and there's a mini JL clothing bit so I'll have a look there.
