Oh my gosh. If I believed everything I read on this board, I'd be in the running for the Nobel prize of mumsy stylelessness. And yet, I love clothes, like my style and don't think like an actual jumble-adorned shrub. Surely I can't be the only one?
Here's me:
I have short, brown hair and love it
I wear lots of Boden ( a bit of Cos and Uniqlo), and like a classic style and natural fabrics
I've just bought a tweed jacket, I wear lots of dresses and unusual coloured tights
Stripes are my friend
This summer, at a festival, I bought a dress printed with tiny bicycles. See, I'm a hopeless cause
I love a scarf, even an indoor one
Just getting into wearing colour and understanding more which colours work for me (berry, jewel, cool, not earthy)
I've rediscovered lipstick
When we are in France, people know straightaway I'm English ( although Americans seem to think I'm French)
So, if there's any fellow travellers out there, come share your style, what you like, where you get it from. And hopefully we can have a non-judgy chat that makes us feel good about what we wear, whatever that may be.
