I’m in a bit of a makeup and skincare rut and I think I need fewer items that are holy grails

What is one item that has changed your life? It can be makeup or skincare!

Thank you in advance!

@70isaLimitNotaTarget I had to google that sponge and it turns out I got one in last year’s Glossybox calendar so I’m going to give it a try!

Vitamin C Concentrate - the keihl's one. It's been a game changer for me

I’ve just started using a vitamin c serum with hyraulanic acid and the texture so far has really impressed me. Sinks straight into my skin and a perfect base for make up. The jury’s put on whether it’s a game changer though 😜

Eminence rosehip whip moisturiser. Can anyone recommend a cream or treatment for dark circles under eyes btw? I've had them since 8 years old Sad

@Eleanorsummer

The Ordinary do a caffeine solution which is supposed to decrease under eye puffiness and pigmentation. There are mixed reviews regarding its efficacy but given that a bottle only costs a few quid it might be worth a try. I bought a bottle last week so it's still too soon for me to say if it's any good. Here's hoping!

For everyone using the vitamin c, do you find it stains your fingers? I've got the garden of wisdom serum but it turned my fingers and nails yellow! I've been using it with a rubber pad since I realised but it's a bit of a faff.

Also not skin care but I do love my lumea, it's one of the few products I've bought in the last few years which I would buy again if it broke.

TCA chemical peels. I do my own. Has erased all hyperpigmentation & most of my wrinkles. Used to have dull & scarred skin from spots but my skin is now better than it was in my youth! Almost 40 now btw.

@Eleanorsummer if you've had them since childhood, then they could be allergy shiners. Deficiencies in iron and vitamin k can contribute to them too.
