Hi Has anyone had experience of this? I am concerned about the link of dementia and metal fillings, and need two old amalgam ones removed asap. I have researched local dentists who advertise they do this, but not one mentions using the ' safe removal' procedure using a rubber dam and protection. Most just put me on to a customer service advisor who will arrange a consultation at a cost! None will actually advise of the experience they have or the procedure. There are lots down south but none in Tyneside.Any advice welcomed.

My dentist used the dam when she removed my fillings but she doesn't advertise it. I think it's just standard procedure. She is NHS but I paid for it privately. Don't know about Tyneside, sorry.
