... what S&B things would you spend it on (that you don’t in RL due to not being loaded!)

My wish list:

Laser hair removal, limitless, whenever/wherever I needed it. I have done laser on my legs/face but after a few years the hairs start to come back more than i’d Like but I can never afford top-ups!

Weekly deep-tissue back/neck massage, that would be HEAVEN.

Twice-weekly blow-dry; I’m cack handed and my hair is problematic and I look SOOOO much better with a proper professional blow-dry.

Reflexology every few weeks, just because.

Anti-ageing facial every 6 weeks.

Straighten my teeth, whiten them too while I’m at it, because why not!

And clothes-wise, a fabulous underwear revamp including silk pyjamas!!

Not asking for much, am I??!

Actually I’m fairly happy with how I look, at 43 it’s not perfect but I’m comfortable in my skin; would just be lovely to be able to add any (or all!) of the above as treats (or necessities in the case of the laser) without wondering how the hell I could afford or justify it!!

I was thinking this exact thing on the drive home from work this evening!

Definitely laser hair removal for chin, armpits, bikini area and maybe eventually legs! teeth whitening and I have one slightly longer tooth at the front I'd have that shaved at the bottom (or whatever the term is) so it's the same length as the others!

Monthly back/shoulder massage and facial.

Monthly eyebrow wax and tint instead of just when I can find time to squeeze it in. (presuming I'm so rich I don't need to work so time is on my side 😊)

I'd also consider trying hair extensions one time but wouldn't ever in real life as couldn't justify the money.

Verily1 · 29/10/2019 04:08

Yes to all that!

That’s the life I imagine celebs to have inc facials every month for great skin.

EmpressJewel · 29/10/2019 08:11

Monthly facials - my skin is congested and whilst it's as good as it can be, I think it can be better.

Monthly body treatments - exfoliation and cellulite treatments.

Private swimming pool for exercise.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/10/2019 08:17

Definitely a shoulder massage every couple of weeks.

Hair cut and colour once every 5 weeks or so.

a load of Vivienne Westwood dresses and skirts.

Teeth sorted

Yes to lovely pyjamas

BiddyPop · 29/10/2019 08:26

Massage to deal with my back and shoulders so knotted with stress that my knee is in serious pain ....

Monthly Facial and regular manicure to keep the hands looking nice but natural

Occasional pedicure

Better managed hair - I’d love to grow it long again but it’s both thick and wavy so looks bad while growing and haven’t yet found a good look for middle aged me

Lose the weight- I’m carrying an extra 3 stones - or at least time to swim and have a few targeted weights to tone it up

Find the kind of clothes I want - someone who can understand my vision and knows where to find them in my size or get them made

Get my ears pierced again and wear my nice jewelry

keiratwiceknightly · 29/10/2019 08:52

Breast reduction
Teeth straightened and whitened
Eye bag fillers
Regular facials and blow dries on important days
Personal trainer that comes to the house 3-3 times a week

HepburnKNotA · 29/10/2019 09:01

I’m noticing a theme with the teeth!!!

OP posts:
HiGunny · 29/10/2019 09:04

I'd buy a Chanel bag and some expensive jewellery.
Maybe a Dyson hair dryer.
I'd also do regular skin treatments as I'm in my 40s now and could probably do with them 😊

BlindAssassin1 · 29/10/2019 09:33

I like Tom Ford and Calvin Klein type minimalist clean lines and good quality. I love some of the Ralph Lauren looks.

I'd love a decent chunky watch. Or a copy of the Cartier watch worn by Jackie O.

Under eye trough fillers if I could someone that wouldn't give me a lumpy face!

A decent pedicure - I can do all treatments that I need for myself (I wouldn't let anyone near my face though my bathroom would look like a high end beauty counter in Selfridges or something) but I'm just lazy when it comes to painting my toes.

I've wanted my teeth whitened for ages but I'm a bit concerned about sensitivity tbh, rather than price.

TBH if I had a tone of cash I wouldn't have to work so hard, and would sleep better and rest more and look 100% better.

AGnu · 29/10/2019 09:38

I'd hire someone to tell me what I looked good in, how to do hair/make up, what make up I could use that wouldn't aggravate my condition, how to appear well-groomed/put together... & Then I'd pay someone to make all my clothes for me so that I looked stylish but could still be comfortable & none of my clothes would fall apart after one wash & I'd know exactly who made them & that there were no small children/sweatshop conditions involved.

wink1970 · 29/10/2019 13:40

I am short on time but no upper budget (within reason) and things I have recently done:

Teeth straightened (and an implant) and whitened
Completely de-haired
Personal trainer at the gym; I achieve more in half the time
Personal shopper where ever available. I often email ahead a list.
Spend a lot on hairdressers & have Olaplex so it's easier to do myself.
In the last few years I have replaced all bags/shoes with timeless classics. It saves money in the long run and means I spend less time updating or repairing.

Things I haven't done but should:
Get someone to do my nails. I hate salon 'chit chat' though.
Invest in botox etc; I'm too scared of looking extreme but I think now's the time.
Invest in facials. See comment about salon chat above.

milliefiori · 29/10/2019 13:45

3 month live in boot camp until I reach th eweight I want to be
after that a daily personal trainer to do body combat and yoga, wild swimming and jogging
weekly facial, nails, massage, steam and sauna
a small chin tuck to erase the wattle.
monthly hair, pedi and brows

New wardrobe entirely of silk, cashmere, bamboo and supersoft cotton, silk PJs and rows and rows of boots, shoes and coats.

Sammi38 · 29/10/2019 15:32

One of those bombshell wedding guest wrap dresses.

Overbite fixed, teeth veneered

Profhilo fillers

Subexcision for my pitted acne scars.

LadyLanka · 29/10/2019 16:44

Hand made shoes (and boots).

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/10/2019 16:53

Just remembered another:
Wear Tom Ford Tuscan Leather every day

HepburnKNotA · 29/10/2019 17:31

Love the ideas on here!!

I’ve thought of another one: top-level tanning expert to come to my house every week April-Sept to make me lightly golden all over!

OP posts:
AdoraBell · 29/10/2019 22:11

I wouldn’t bother with cosmetic surgery or things like Botox, but would be having monthly facials, weekly massaging and get back to Pilates classes at least three times each week.

AdoraBell · 29/10/2019 22:18

I would also wear Givenchy III daily. Recently acquired a bottle in Holland after scouring shops and websites here.

Graphista · 29/10/2019 22:33

Great idea for a thread even for those of us that aren’t s&b regulars

2-3 blow drys a week would be great.

Teeth sorted - definitely they’re a bit of a mess at the moment

Mad hippie skincare - the best I’ve ever found for my skin but I can rarely afford it.

Very niche but I suffer from dermotillomania which obviously affects looks, private treatment to cure that would be good.

Private chef/nutritionist so I’d be eating much better, I always look and feel my best when I’m eating healthily

A load of new nice pyjamas a combination of good quality cotton ones and satin ones.

Satin pillowcases so I don’t have to sleep in plaits.

Weekly foot and lower leg massage. I’m generally not a fan of massage but my feet and lower legs get very sore due to disability and I’ve had a lovely one as a gift experience once and would love to be able to afford it regularly.

Branster · 29/10/2019 22:46

wink pretend you can’t speak the language very well then they won’t talk to you. I loath the nonsensical droning on and on about nothing.

I would buy pure silk and pure cashmere loungewear and pyjamas and not worry about shrinking/damage in the wash. I don’t like to slob around but I probably would enjoy doing nothing in that sort of get-up. I even know what exact 5 colours I want.

MulberryPeony · 30/10/2019 12:29

The kind of pyjamas that deserve hanging up rather than shoved in a drawer.

Some treatment to smooth my bum.

Laser eye surgery so I don’t have to wear glasses then the wrinkles fixing because I’m no longer hiding them behind glasses.

managedmis · 30/10/2019 12:32

Oh my god I've loads. I'll start with surgery then come back with clothes jewelry, bags etc.

Surgery :

Boob lift
Lipo on tum
Labiaplasty
Under arm fat removal
Laser eye surgery
Botox on fine lines
I'd probably get veneers too.

didedonglydee · 30/10/2019 21:03

Love this thread, I think about stuff like this all the time!

I reckon I've got a loooong list:

Surgery to fix drooping eyelid & possible a boob job.

2 blow drys a week

Monthly gel pedicure, I get my nails done but can't afford toes too

Laser hair removal pretty much everywhere!

Personal trainer 3/4 times a week

Weekly deep tissue massage

Regular cut & colour rather than every 6 months when I realise what a state my mop is in

I'd have my crown fixed on one of my back teeth

Silk pillowcases

I'm pretty sure there's more...!

HepburnKNotA · 30/10/2019 21:09

Yy to silk pillowcases!!! Mind you, surely those aren’t so out of range...? I might ask for one for my Xmas present from DH!!

My Xmas present sorted!

Are they really that good for the smooth-skin look or are they just heavenly to sleep on?!
