So, Caroline Hirons has launched another Beauty Box, so far so standard.

£290.

Yes, that’s right - £290.

Please tell me I’m not alone in thinking this is just too much, even with an apparent £10k going to charity.

botemp go on then! £29.00, do me a basic 3/4 step little routine. Oh. 1 proviso...only 1 The Ordinary product else it's easy peasy. U go first....do u want to start another thread or give it shot here see who piles in.

I can do £29 here first and see if there's interest for a separate thread as I'll have to think longer on the £59 as that feels like loads to spend in comparison.

Budget roughly £58-74 RRP going by other advertised discounts to retail at £29. No The Ordinary (don't like them anyhow so that's easy) and mix of travel and full sizes. Basic setup with battling dull winter skin in mind.

Travel size Muji Cleansing Oil 50ml £4.95

Travel size Cerave Hydrating Cleanser 88ml £3.20

Full size Timeless Skin Care - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum 30ml £24.99 (although this is always on 10% off but have used RRP for calculations as this is how they make these beauty boxes seem like great "value")

Travel size Vichy Mineral 89 Elixier 30ml (full size is 50ml so it's not that smaller) £12.70

Full size Eucerin 5% Urea Dry Skin Replenishing Face Cream 50ml £11

Full size Uncover Suncover SPF30 for face and body 250ml €14.95 ~ £12.90

Total of RRP = £69.74 for 6 products, 3 full size, 1 almost full size, and 2 travel sizes.

Gives a fairly complete routine for a wide range of ages, and skin types, including most sensitive skin types as none of the products contain the most common irritants, but YMMV and all that. The Eucerin is technically marketed at dry skin type but it's suitable for pretty much all skin types and great for winter beaten skin.

U know what...that's an ideal xmas gift for my daughter. Genius that you are
Is Timeless beauty care at Boots? I can sort of see the tube but not sure. Ita a great idea about the travelnsizes as well.
Love Muji didnt knownthey did beauty care products. Is the oil nice?
Yes to the Eucrin. I love their foot cream.. random. Aside.

botemp · 25/10/2019 20:39

It's online: Vit C serum. To keep it as active for longest you will need to use it up quickly and preferably store it in the fridge.

Yes, Muji skincare is really nice. Cleansing oil is great, I slightly prefer DHC Cleansing oil but this is a great second. The light toning water high moist is great too, could go in place of the Vichy but I didn't want to repeat brands. Also currently 20% off when buying 3 or more items at the moment.
