Foundation dilemma's- tried Double Wear, I don't rate it!

I normally use Clinique Even Better. Have done for a few years however my post-partum skin is currently not liking this and I resemble an oil slick by lunchtime and by mid afternoon my nose looks patchy.

I got a sample of Double Wear and Double Wear Light and both I really disliked Sad
I was really hoping for greater things.

What foundation do you swear by?

I’ve recently bought bare minerals the powder, which isn’t actually a powder. I’d always been sceptical as have suffered break outs in the past and have done uneven skin tone. Finding it really great for coverage to be honest! Also got their primer, which goes on so smoothly and feels really luxurious.

Following! I have the same problem, currently using Double Wear light and I'm really disappointed with it.

Try phoera from Amazon, brilliant coverage

Fruityb · 23/10/2019 22:25

Phoera does have amazing coverage but do not touch it at all as it just comes off. I end up with a line down my nose where pushing up my glasses almost ploughs a furrow.

It doesn’t stick very well or it’s like a peel off face mask. I use it for going out but everyday wear it’s far too thick.

I use revolution conceal and define - I love it.

I’ve recently discovered smash box studio face 24 hour (I think that’s what it’s called)
It’s really full coverage so for day to day I mix with primer or moisturiser. It does need blotting with a powder but the coverage is insane. It seems like it comes off when you touch your face but then look in the mirror and it’s still on. I have rosacea and it covers all the redness and my lovely acne that I’ve gotten in my 30s Angry

Revlon colorstay is touch proof. The smashbox one is nice, similar to MAC studio fix. Urban decay allnighter if you want serious coverage. I'm all trialling IT cosmetics matte cc cream which has incredible coverage but does tend to move I think.

I'm another one that didn't get on with DW foundation although I do use the concealer. I've also just started using Bare Minerals but I've got BarePro which I like so far. I also rate No7 foundations - very reasonably priced.

Chanel Vitalumiere or Vitalumiere Aqua are both really good. Give a light but good coverage, evens out skin tone and leaves skin looking dewy & fresh. I tried Double Wear years ago but found that it just caked on my skin and sat in the wrinkles!

I took a punt recently and got a sample of the Fenty Pro Filt’r matte and was so impressed I bought the full size.

I was a DW user for 10 or so years but it was never perfect for me. Fenty ticks every box the DW didn’t.

Would definitely say to get colour matched and a sample. There’s 50 shades so a lot to choose from.
