Anyone know the fit on GAP kids hoodies or zip hoodies

I'm after a couple of hoodies. One for a 10 year old girl and one for a tall, but very very thin 13 year old girl. Would GAP kids still fit or do they come up small fitting ?

The size kids guide says
L for age 10
XL is 12-13
XXL for 13 years plus ?? Any ideas or do I need to go for adults for the 13 year old ?

They are for gifts and they are just visiting briefy at Xmas, as don't usually live here. So they don't have GAP in their home country.

Gap come up quite small, I'd size up for the 10yo and go for xl

My slight 10 yr old wears a L in gap.

If in doubt, buy too big. At least then it can be worn. Buy too small, and its useless (written as a recipient of many clothes that got put away for 2 years - bought a size older than age, and child wearing a size down)

Sorry, posted too soon- again!! And for the 13 either get medium ladies or the xxl if they'd wear it for a short while. Have they requested them because they really want Gap branded ones? If so I'd size up a lot, an oversized Gap hoodie is still 'fashionable', if they haven't requested them I'd go 13+ and hope for the best!

My slight but average height ten year old boy fits comfortably into a L full zip hoodie. I find gap generous sized usually. Today he was wearing a size M long sleeved t and his summer t's are all a comfortable M.

However I might go XS adults for the 13 year old as it's a self conscious age and they will always grow into it!

Not specifically requested, but I'm looking for inspiration. Want a good-ish quality grey hoody or zip hoody for each of them. They won't be used to cold UK weather. Happy to look at other brands, but don't want to pay loads maybe £15 each. Seems possible with the GAP kids ones, but might be a bit more as sounds like I might have to go into ladies size for 13 y.o ( plus I have a gift card )
