I have had midface filler and some chin support 5 times and I love love love the results, really boosted my confidence and was part of self care which helped me recover from a deep rut in my life (i know each to their own but it helped me to feel so much better). The the first 3 times were fine, although on the 3rd time I had a black eye but this was quite low key and I did expect occasional bruises. The 4th time I developed an odd burning sensation across much of my treated areas like sunburn, but no visible redness or swelling at all. This started on day 5 and was bad for 2-3 weeks but then gradually wore off. I went to see my very experienced doctor practitioner who uses only approved products in a medical clinic. He said he could not explain it and had never seen it before but wasn't convinced it was filler related. I got 1ml additional for cheeks and nasolabial folds 8 months later and the same burning sensation at 5 days which has faded again over 3-4 weeks. Again, nothing to see at all, in fact the result is aesthetically great. Also some odd aches and sensations of my face moving differently, which I am much less bothered by and sort of expected. He has reassured me about the aches etc but still can't explain the hot sensation although does now admit is it probably filler related. I do consider that anxiety and hyperawareness may play a part but i am definately not imagining it.
I really really don't want to never have filler again, it feels so depressing but I would like to know what this heat is and have an explanation for it before i try again. Has anyone else had this? Maybe another brand or something?
