what do you wear under your open knit jumpers?

I have two lovely open knit jumpers that I never wear. I don't want to display my bra. I equally don't want the added bulk of another layer. Any inspiration out there for me???

I just wear a thin vest top.

Thanks flis. I know this ord tyke obvious answer but i find vest tops uncomfortable, either too loose or too tight. Was hoping someone would have a really out there perfect idea!

I wear a silk camisole top. I rarely see them in high street shops, had to search for them online.

I wear a black M&S thermal top. I have black sparkly ones. Very thin and only mildly thermal. Brilliant.

I'm with you on disliking extra, dare I say unnecessary, clingy layers, especially under nice jumpers. Bras seem to be on display everywhere these days, so why not make a virtue out of necessity, invest in some nice matching/toning coloured items and flaunt them rather than hide them under clingy vests. It's a shame to leave pretty jumpers hanging in the wardrobe when you could be getting enjoyment from wearing them..

Uniqlo heat tech vests - come sleeveless, long sleeved etc. Lots of colours, very thin and soft and more comfortable than other options. They don't ride up or cling. And not that hot

Some of us are of an age when showing your undies would be somewhat seedy. Get a lacy top.

I think open knit jumpers are a bit “Neither nowt nor summat” because they’re thick wool but full of holes, so warm but let in the breeze!

I usually put a contrasting silky viscose boatneck (long sleeves) underneath which can stand alone when I inevitably take the jumper off.

Honest answer is that I don't buy them for this reason actually; I like the look of them but rarely wear them when i do buy them because I hate that feeling of a layer underneath. I wear a (unsexy and not revealing) long line sort of crop top (in lieu of a bra) most days so would just wear that and wear the jumper on a day I'm wearing a coat or jacket over the top. With high waisted jeans on as well you can see next to nothing to be honest.

I’m with @QuinionsRainbow. I’m in my 40s and just wear a pretty bra but one that does not “shout” at you. Or a contrasting colour but certainly not white or so called “nude”; cardboard would be a better description. If a bra shows all it means is that you have a bra on. Some pretty bras are too good to hide.

I do not understand this dilemma...but then I wear a vest for about 9 months of the year.
What about a bodysuit op?
