Dress for ball -help please!

Going to a ball (black dress code).
Really struggling to find a dress!
Ideally long and elegant (so many plunge, too much lace or detail, or too tight looking). Really want elegance!
Don't have a huge budget unfortunately.
Easy enough to dress, size 8-10, 5 8 but flat chest, not so happy with stomach post children or waist (shapewear can sort that though). Pale and blonde.
Help please (especially as ex-h and new partner will be there. Pathetic to add this but I want to feel and look good on the night!).

Have you looked on eBay?
There are some lovely Hobbs, Jigsaw and Coast dresses which might work?
Search size/colour (obvs) but also occasion and length to filter

Then you can always resell afterwards if you aren't likely to wear again

How flexible is the 'black and red' theme? And is it a full-length ball gown you need?

There are many shades of red, and pink is just a paler shade, so could yu get away with that?

Save your cash and look on eBay or Oxfam etc. Use your cash to treat yourself to your hair up, nails and maybe even make up.

Have a look at Damsel in a Dress evening wear. I'm same size as you, but shorter but had a black dress from there that I wore at a Mansion House event that got a few wows - in a good way!
