Best Body Moisturisers?

Can anyone recommend me one? DP complimented how soft my skin felt last night, and whilst it was nice to hear, it made me realise that I actually don't take good care of it so I want to start.

I did try a Palmers Cocoa butter formula one once, specifically for the body, but it was so greasy and made my fingers drag across my skin weirdly (if that makes sense). It didn't really feel like it sunk in either.

I only really moisturise my face and neck with the Nivea blue tub stuff, so would love to hear what others use for body that doesn't feel sticky or greasy. Thanks :)

Get a Korean Italy wash cloth. Using one has made my skin feel amazingly soft.

Try these, good price on Amazon, only need a couple of handfuls.

I have very soft skin but I rarely moisturise. I take flax seed oil supplements - soften from the inside.

Body Shop body butters, Khiel's creme de corps if I'm feeling flush

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body lotion contains AHAs so exfoliates as well as moisturising. It's sinks in fast without leaving a residue and helps to smooth as well as moisturising. It does smell of limes but this disappears quickly.

For a richer alternative, the Nivea Q10 firming lotion is great as is the Nivea oil used on wet skin.

HRT has made my skin super soft

Astral, cheap as chips and really works.
I slap it on all over.

Origin lavender and vanilla body moisturiser - the best!

Exercise is often easily seen negatively on skin
Many runners and cyclists have very negative affects on their skin which can become very weather beaten

Body shop - any of the body yogurts! Only moisturiser I can use as any other blocks my pores. They smell lovely and can be applied to damp skin and sink in straight away. Not sticky or greasy at all but skin feels lovely. I have the strawberry one during summer and then use the ginger one during autumn and winter!

My favourite for the smell and texture has always been Body Shop cocoa butter body butter. Other cocoa butter scented ones take ages to soak in.
For heavy duty softening, can't beat Averno- the original cream in the green banded pack (usually about £8)
At the moment, and I'll definitely repurchase, am using Neutrogena Deep Moisture. Pump bottle, lovely clean smell, soaks in straightaway Huge bottle been on the go since August and still going strong. it's my new Holy Grail of unfussy body moisturiser.

" I take flax seed oil supplements - soften from the inside."

I take cod liver oil or other types of Omegas, but they don't work well enough on their own.
I have KP, but don't really find that the things with AHAs that are supposed to help are the best - just a rich moisturiser it what helps me so lotions for rough parts of skin or thick body butters.

Nivea soft, or Superdrug's Vitamin E all over body moisturiser. Both cheap as chips and leave my skin silky soft 👍 Also love pure Aloe Vera gel.

FreiasBathtub · 13/10/2019 15:04

Seconding the in-shower Sanctuary one. Game changer for me. I just slap it on before getting out of the shower, takes 20 seconds (if that) and even my usually dry and scaly legs look and feel great. I have tried a lot of moisturisers and given up on all of them due to faff, but can't see myself stopping with this one.

Gwenhwyfar · 13/10/2019 15:08

Exactly Freias. The Nivea soft feels nice when it goes on, but doesn't 'last' as long as the yellow Sanctuary in-shower one.

Coconutbug · 13/10/2019 15:39

I think it depends on your skin type, for me any sort of cocoa butter is amazing but there's loads of others that don't work for me. I like the Avon skin so soft range also

Fstar · 13/10/2019 16:11

For shower gel try sanex for dry skin, its amazing stuff. I love the neutrogena hydroboost too or vaselene aloe vera (comes in spray or lotion)
