Went through a lengthy and glitchy process of trying to order something from Topshop last night. It wouldn't let me pay as a guest so had to go through the whole create account process with quite a few stops and starts as the layout of the pages is poor. When it came to finally confirming payment, suddenly a "this item is out of stock" message popped up.
So I had to go through the whole tedious process again with an alternative.
The whole thing took me about half an hour, without any browsing. I already knew what I wanted to buy.
I got a confirmation of order email. Standard delivery £2.95 or £3.95 and they were guaranteeing to deliver by 16th October - cooeee.
Today, I received another email "sorry, that item is so popular it's out of stock".
I drove down to my local High Street, walked to the shop, browsed, tried on and paid for something better in less time than it took me to deal with Topshop online.
Was I just unlucky or are they often like this?
