hi,
I'm really after some help.
I'm 45 very nearly 46. In my 20s and 30s i had lovely skin, but i used expensive products, had monthly facials, zero stress etc.
For the last few years I've really let myself go.
I've now got wrinkles, spots, dry skin, congestion, enlarges pores, random hairs - all set for halloween!

i really want to sort myself out, because quite frankly its making me depressed and i think some self care will make me look and feel better.

id really like to use non plastic, animal friendly, kind products.

currently I'm using these

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0
Simple Eye Make-Up Remover
Neutrogena Hydro BoostWater Gel Moisturiser

Im about to run out of moisturiser and i think this is a bit weak for me. So I'm thinking a new moisturiser and serum - maybe AM and PM ones? but i really have no clue. Only started using the Neutrogena stuff after C.Hirons spoke about them on This Morning...

thank you :)

Hi, I'm also mid-forties with all the same skin issues. When I manage to knuckle down to a regular skincare routine it does make all the difference (I struggle with this!).

I like Liz Earle products; they are plant-based, non-animal tested, sustainably produced. To me they smell lovely and feel properly 'nourishing'. I do try other products but always come back to these. Not cheap but a little goes a really long way, and they've often got offers/discounts/freebies going on on their website.

I know it's obvious but lots of veg and plenty of water also make a big difference; again this is easier said than done for me. I am a massive sugar addict and know my skin would be better if I could sort out my diet! Also think at mid-forties peri menopause is on the horizon for me bringing lots of hormonal fun into the bargain which also messes with our skin.

@SpongeBoobBigPants same i can feel that peri menopause knocking on the door and the chocolate addiction probably doesn't help.
Used to use Liz Earle years ago then they changed the ingredients in the cleanse and polish and itstopped agreeing with me. they used to do an amazing spot oil.
