What hair straighteners, are ghd no longer top ones?

I've had my ghds for 6 years and I think they are starting to give up. I find my hair really static and have to go every same bits constantly. I looked online at recent reviews from both amazon look fantastic, where I got my last pair and mostly negative reviews of people saying weren't as good and their last set og ghds!? What other striaghters can anyone recommend? I have wavy hair which I like to straighten everyday around £110 max really? Thanks

Cloud nines are the new ghds. Much better for your hair too x

I've had 2 pairs of Cloud 9s and both have died after just over a year. The last pair I bought were GHDs....

Coriolis

People say cloud nines but I hated them.

I stick with GHD. They've done me well for almost 20 years (various pairs, not just one very old pair)

I replaced my ghds with coriolis ones and find them to be much better. They were about £55 from amazon

I replaced my old fabulous ghds with ghds but the new ones aren't as good, they don't get as hot. I don't know which would be better but don't think I'd buy ghds again.

Thanks all. So many mixed review. Was sort of set on cloud 9 but then worried about the broken sets

Corioliss.

My trusty ghds broke similar to yours think I had them 10+ years. Spoke to my hairdresser to see if there was anything as good/better and she recommended coriolis ones. I ordered via Amazon standard delivery and they were here within a day. They have been great. Equal to my long suffering ghds. Obviously longevity is the thing I cannot answer yet.

I have label m and prefer them to my old ghds. My hairdresser recommended them.

dontgobaconmyheart · 07/10/2019 12:46

I prefer my GHD's to the cloud 9's I've tried but what I will say is that my 'old' GHD's were so much better than my newer ones (definitely not fakes or anything as Ibought direct). My old ones went through my hair smoothly and easily and the new ones I have to be careful or they leave a kink or drag the hair Hmm. I have gone back to my old pair if I need my hair done quickly or am curling it but mostly use a straightening brush now if I want straight hair- just personal choice but am a bit over the dead straight flat look GHD's give for straightening and prefer more texture.

Coriolis seems to a potential then and a lot cheaper than the rest!

I love my Cloud 9s and they’ve been going strong for well over a year now.

Pommes · 07/10/2019 14:30

Cloud 9s here too. My old set of GHDs were much better than my newer set. I've been using Cloud 9s (which I think are made by the original owners of GHD) for 2 years.
