Early 2000's and 35+ what did you wear?

I'm in an am dram play set in the early 2000's playing a (fairly cool) college tutor 40+
All the images I can find are of thongs showing out of jeans, tiny boob tubes etc (and that was students me back then too)

What did "grown up" people wear then? I've tried looking for past Jigsaw collections 🤷‍♀️

Peasant blouses also had a big moment in the early 00's. And scoop neck tops.

I had a big working wardrobe at that time, which is still in my attic!

I wore leather or suede midi skirts with fitted shirts/ v-neck cashmere jumpers and knee high boots or boot cut jeans in leather or denim with the same tops.

I was thinking of dragging out the old skirts and boots this season- there seems to be lots of similar stuff in the magazines.

God I loved a square toe

God, yes. Per Una needlecord skirts, ankle length with ballet wrap cardigans or a v neck with a big chunky pendant on a thong with chunky beads. I had square toed patchwork ankle boots from Clark’s ( I loved them so much they are still in my loft.)

A Levi’s denim midi skirt, tan boots and black roll neck was my favourite outfit

Gap long and lean jeans. Tops from jigsaw which had really lovely subtle designs then

Best thats it exactly. With boots and tights. I jusg want my figure from 20 years ago to go with it and I could so wear it all again!
