Smocks, just when will they go away?

Getting fed up of seeing them, I only wore one in the Spring because I was pregnant but I don't want to look pregnant any more.

Smocks are terribly unkind to the top-heavy (I am BFing)and make your bottom half look bigger because there is just too much fabric swishing about.

I'd hoped they would disappear for Autumn/Winter but it looks like they are reappearing in a new and more sinister guise with long sleeves and in darker colours.

Also, what sort of cardigan or jumper would you wear over the top?

And wouldn't your tummy get cold because the top was too loose?

Also, I wore leggings first time round and just can't face them a second time...

Can anyone out there find me a smock free zone to shop in?

Smocks are just BAD all around excepting three types or person: pregnant, children under 10, tall, skinny women.

and just who looks good in them anyway??

don't think i have spotted anyone yet!

oh, expat has answered my question before i asked it

i had trouble finding them when i was in town the other day actually.

Primark didn't have many and what they did have was on a sale rail so destined to be bought.

I'm sure I read in a magazine that there will be a complete backlash against smocks for A/W, and that instead, the focus will be "entirely on the waist".

Which is great, except I'm about to give birth and doubt that I will want anyone focusing on my waist for a few more months at least ...
