Hi hopefully someone can help. I've never had my lashes done I used to wear strip lashes but not since about 5 years ago. But recently one of my eyes the lashes are noticeably shorter then the other eye and as you can see there is some in the middle that seem to of snapped/are very very short. Can anyone recommend any good products or tips to sort there out and make the very short ones grow and to get them even looking? Have attached pics. (I do have a little mascara on in these photos, first photo being the shorter lashes) TIA

Sorry OP, don’t know any products, but would say it’s worth investigating why only one eye - could it be you sleep on that side and go to bed with mascara on sometimes?

I would have thought they're just in different phases of their growth cycles. Apparently putting castor oil on lashes at night can help them grow. You have got fantastic lashes and brows btw!

SuchAToDo · 27/09/2019 11:53

Op if they have snapped you may have to wait until they have completed their cycle (those drop out and new lash grows back in to replace it)

If you want it to look less obvious why not visit a salon and ask about having a few eyelash extensions put in on the shorter side (to even it out and make it match the shorter side)...

Vaseline at bedtime. I’ve been applying a teeny amount of Vaseline on my eyelashes for approximately 35 years and I have lovely full lashes.

I would say from the photo that at some point you have accidentally pulled out a couple in the middle either when taking off make up/false lashes or rubbed your eye in the night resulting in lash loss and they’re now growing back.

I'd maybe look into having a lash lift to see if that helps even and spread them out?
If not maybe even a few eyelash extensions?

Thanks for your helpful replies and suggestions I will definitely try the Vaseline/castor oil at night and see if that helps. I've had a lash lift before and really liked the results but that's when they were sort of even. I always take my makeup up properly and cleanse before bed just don't know why the the ones in the middle are so short! I switch sides at night also. I'm quite impatient waiting for them to grow back!

Hi! I am having the same thing! Did you ever find a solution?

Galassia · 27/07/2021 17:09

I use Vaseline as already suggested and have some for decades.

Waterproof mascara used over time may cause breakages so I add a few drops of rose oil every now and then to my waterproof mascara and it keeps its water proof properties but doesn’t dry my lashes out and keeps them supple.

Galassia · 27/07/2021 17:11

This is the oil I had to my mascara. Only 2/3 drops and I add maybe once a week/fortnight.
